LIVERPOOL<\/strong> \u2014 Liverpool have held extensive discussions regarding a potential move for AFC Bournemouth<\/strong> forward Rayan, as the Merseyside club intensifies its search for a marquee attacking signing to replace the departed Mohamed Salah.<\/p>\n

The 19-year-old Brazilian winger has emerged as a key target for the Reds, driven largely by the influence of Liverpool’s new manager, Andoni Iraola<\/a><\/strong>. The Spanish tactician, who recently made the high-profile switch from the Vitality Stadium to Anfield, worked closely with Rayan last season and is understood to be a major admirer of the teenager’s talents. Liverpool’s board has consulted extensively with Iraola to explore the feasibility of bringing the young prospect to Anfield.<\/p>\n

Rayan\u2019s rapid rise in European football began when Bournemouth secured his services from Rio de Janeiro-based club Vasco da Gama<\/a><\/strong>. The South Coast club moved quickly to sign the highly-rated prospect after sanctioning the transfer of Antoine Semenyo<\/a><\/strong> to Manchester City during the winter transfer window. Rayan immediately justified the investment, adapting seamlessly to the physical demands of the Premier League.<\/p>\n

During his debut campaign in England, the young winger scored five goals and registered two assists in 15 appearances. This followed an impressive breakthrough year in Brazil, where he scored 20 goals and provided a solitary assist in 57 appearances across all competitions. His domestic form earned him a place in Brazil’s World Cup squad, where he helped the Sele\u00e7\u00e3o reach the round of 16 before they were eliminated by Norway.<\/p>\n

Like Salah, Rayan is a left-footed right-winger who excels at cutting inside to threaten goal, making him a natural tactical fit for Liverpool\u2019s attacking system. However, securing his services will require navigating a highly complex financial and competitive landscape.<\/p>\n

Bournemouth, now under the stewardship of manager Marco Rose, have no intention of letting their prized asset leave. Rayan is committed to a long-term contract at the Vitality Stadium that runs until 2031. While his contract includes a substantial \u00a3130 million release clause, that option does not become active until 2027. Consequently, Rose’s side retains complete control over the player’s immediate future during this transfer window.
