The company is also instituting download limits to hinder the bulk export of synthetic tracks onto commercial streaming providers.<\/p>\n<p>The technical restrictions follow rising pressure from major record labels, including Sony Music, <a href=\"https:\/\/nile1.com\/en\/2026\/07\/21\/instagram-now-allows-users-to-swap-music-on-existing-posts-without-losing-engagement\/\" class=\"auto-internal-link\" title=\"Instagram Now Allows Users to Swap Music on Existing Posts Without Losing Engagement\">Universal Music Group<\/a>, and Warner Music Group, which have called for automated AI tracks to be disqualified from official music charts.<\/p>\n<p>To police uploads, Suno is integrating detection tools from third-party media recognition companies Audible Magic and Musixmatch to screen submitted audio files and lyric prompts for potential misuse.<\/p>\n<p>The security update arrives amidst ongoing intellectual property litigation across international courts. A Munich regional court ruled against Suno in a lawsuit brought by German performance rights organization Gema, finding that the company illegally trained its AI models on copyrighted musical works without obtaining appropriate licenses. Suno disputed the decision and indicated it may appeal.<\/p>\n<p>While Warner Music Group reached a licensing deal with Suno last November\u2014settling its litigation to permit the platform to license WMG artists&#8217; music and likenesses\u2014Suno continues to face broader industry claims over training data.
