The move offers buyers a rare alternative to secondary market markups, which have pushed consumer GPU prices to record highs.<\/p>\n<p>Retail pricing for high-end graphics hardware has escalated significantly due to tight memory component supplies across the tech sector. The flagship GeForce RTX 5090, equipped with 32GB of RAM and originally launched with a $1,999 MSRP, reached an average U.S. retail price of nearly $4,000 in July\u2014a 94% premium over sticker price. Similarly, the RTX 5080 averaged $1,250 last month, trading 18% above its $999 MSRP.<\/p>\n<p>Nvidia stated that quantities available for purchase at the venue are limited. The company previously deployed physical direct-sales models at its GTC conference, where attendees bought units on-site for immediate pickup.<\/p>\n<p>The sales initiative coincides with the 20th anniversary of QuakeCon, held August 6\u20139 at the Gaylord Texan Resort. The convention features a bring-your-own-computer (BYOC) LAN party and an id Software founders reunion panel.
