Samsung<\/a> Electronics has introduced the QS90H soundbar, a $1,000 standalone audio system engineered to deliver full-range low-frequency sound without requiring a separate wireless subwoofer.<\/p>\n

The 7.1.2-channel unit features 13 integrated drivers, including a Quad Bass internal system that utilizes four woofers positioned to displace air in opposite directions. The configuration allows the single-enclosure unit to generate dedicated subwoofer output directly from its frame, targeting consumers seeking high-end home theater audio with minimal spatial footprint.<\/p>\n

The hardware launch puts Samsung in direct competition with rival premium soundbars designed to operate without external bass units, such as the $1,099 Sonos Arc Ultra and Bose’s $1,099 Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar. While Sonos incorporates a 9.1.4-channel layout and Bose utilizes a 5.1.2 setup with proprietary CleanBass technology, Samsung’s offering comes in $99 lower than its Sonos counterpart while adding placement-shifting hardware flexibility.<\/p>\n

To accommodate five additional drivers compared to last year’s QS700F model, Samsung expanded the width of the QS90H by 3.5 inches. The unit retains an onboard gyroscopic sensor driving Convertible Fit technology, which automatically redirects driver functionality based on whether the soundbar is placed flat on a table or mounted vertically on a wall. Front-firing and up-firing channels automatically swap duties to preserve spatial audio consistency regardless of orientation.<\/p>\n

Samsung has also integrated internal microphones to enable its SpaceFit Sound Pro acoustic calibration across third-party display hardware, expanding functionality that was previously restricted to proprietary televisions on predecessor models.<\/p>\n

Additional integrated audio enhancements include Active Voice Amplifier Pro dialogue boosting, Adaptive Sound processing, Game Mode Pro 3D positioning, and Sound Elevation controls, alongside physical inputs and Bluetooth wireless connectivity.<\/p>\n
