Visa<\/a> is expanding its Stablecoin<\/a> capabilities across its flagship Visa Direct network through a new integration with crypto infrastructure provider ZeroHash, enabling institutional clients to prefund accounts and disburse funds round-the-clock.<\/p>\n

Under the arrangement announced Wednesday, corporate users can fund their Visa Direct accounts using stablecoins ahead of making payments. The setup allows businesses to bypass traditional banking hours to manage treasury liquidity, while giving payout recipients the option to receive funds directly in stablecoins rather than converting into local fiat currencies.<\/p>\n

“Stablecoins are creating new opportunities to make money movement faster and more flexible, particularly for cross-border use cases,” Mark Nelsen, Visa’s global head of product, said in a statement. “Working with zerohash helps us bring stablecoin capabilities to our clients at scale, in a way that\u2019s reliable and interoperable with the financial systems they already rely on today.\u201d<\/p>\n

For ZeroHash, the integration embeds its digital asset settlement rails directly into one of the world’s primary global payment networks. “Unlocking stablecoin use cases at the core network level further accelerates adoption globally,” ZeroHash founder and CEO Edward Woodford said in a statement.<\/p>\n

The move marks the latest step in Visa’s broader strategy to integrate blockchain-backed dollars into institutional payment flows. In January, Visa partnered with crypto infrastructure firm BVNK to pilot stablecoin prefunding and disbursements on Visa Direct. That was followed in July by the rollout of the Visa Stablecoin Platform, an initiative designed to give commercial banks and fintechs tools to issue, hold, and transfer digital assets within existing treasury architectures.<\/p>\n

Founded in 2017, ZeroHash provides backend digital asset infrastructure for legacy financial institutions. In March, the company applied for a national trust bank charter to expand its institutional settlement and custody footprint. ZeroHash also powered Morgan Stanley<\/a>‘s expansion into crypto trading on E*TRADE<\/a> in July, supporting execution for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana.<\/p>\n
