The architectural redesign comes after Whip Media officially pulled TV Time from app stores on July 15, 2026, pivoting its resources toward artificial intelligence development despite the app accumulating more than 26.4 million lifetime downloads.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI believe TV Time was a diamond in the rough that kind of lost its way,\u201d Pinto told TechCrunch. \u201cI was stunned to see that the community stayed so active and so big even after the app was neglected for years and received no updates. To me, that was the sign that TV Time had something unique that no other social platform has.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The closure triggered widespread pushback from the app&#8217;s community, with over 28,000 users signing a petition requesting Whip Media preserve the service through subscriptions or crowdfunding options. Whip Media proceeded with the shutdown as scheduled, leaving an active user base looking for alternative tracking and discussion hubs.<\/p>\n<p>Bingers incorporates a three-part structure combining show and movie tracking, content discovery tools, and episode-specific community features. The platform allows users to build profiles, post photos and GIFs, leave episode comments, vote on favorite characters, and express reactions via emojis. To facilitate user transition, the app supports re-uploading personal archives exported via TV Time\u2019s GDPR-compliant tool prior to its removal.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" height=\"680\" width=\"313\" src=\"https:\/\/nile1.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/5-episode-comments.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3149686\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>Monetization for Bingers will initially rely on direct voluntary contributions from users to offset remaining server infrastructure costs.
