Actor Henry Cavill, an outspoken fan of the tabletop wargame who is spearheading live-action adaptations for Amazon, has joined the animated series as an executive producer alongside <em>Secret Level<\/em> creator Tim Miller and Blur Studio.<\/p>\n<p>Games Workshop Chief Executive Officer Kevin Rountree addressed the status of the broader media deal during a recent financial report, confirming Cavill&#8217;s ongoing involvement to address fan speculation over potential delays. Rountree noted that creative teams are now actively moving toward writing a script for the separate live-action adaptation, several years after Amazon initially acquired the film and television rights to the property.<\/p>\n<p>The animated project originates directly from Blur Studio, the CGI production company co-founded by Miller that previously produced Netflix&#8217;s <em>Love, Death &amp; Robots<\/em>. Blur Studio produced <em>Secret Level<\/em> as a video game anthology featuring episodic stories centered on gaming intellectual properties, ranging from long-standing titles like <em>Warhammer 40,000<\/em> to Sony&#8217;s short-lived hero shooter <em>Concord<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The deal between Amazon and Games Workshop gives the streaming giant exclusive rights to adapt the 37-year-old tabletop gaming universe across film, television, and animation.
