Construction on Miami<\/a>‘s tallest residential building has reached its final height, marking a significant milestone in South Florida’s transformation into a permanent hub for international capital and executive relocations.<\/p>\n

The 85-story Cipriani Residences Miami, located in the financial district of Brickell, has officially topped off at approximately 950 feet. Developed by Mast Capital, the tower has already surpassed the 80 percent sold threshold, attracting buyers from more than 30 countries who intend to make the city their primary residence.<\/p>\n

The tower’s buyer pool reflects broader economic shifts bringing high-net-worth individuals and corporate leadership to Florida. Purchasing activity includes soccer star Lionel Messi<\/a>, who reportedly acquired four residences in the building, along with executive buyers from corporate giants including Citadel and Amazon<\/a>. Beyond domestic buyers moving from high-tax states like New York and California, international demand is led by buyers from Mexico, Italy, Colombia, Brazil, and Venezuela, followed by purchasers from Argentina, Canada, France, Spain, and the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n

The migration pattern aligns with South Florida’s ongoing economic surge, often referred to as the rise of Wall Street South<\/a>, as financial institutions and technology firms establish major regional footprints. State tax policies, combined with a pro-business regulatory environment, have positioned Miami as a viable primary residence alternative to traditional Northern capital markets.<\/p>\n

Mast Capital founder and chief executive officer Camilo Miguel Jr. noted that constructing a 950-foot residential spire involved complex engineering distinct from standard mid-rise developments. He highlighted that an increasing number of buyers are purchasing multiple units to accommodate entire families transitioning full-time to Miami.<\/p>\n

The development represents the first ground-up residential project in North America for the Cipriani family brand, which traces its roots back to the opening of Harry’s Bar in Venice in 1931. Company brand leader Giuseppe Cipriani emphasized that the project extends the family’s traditional hospitality philosophy into multi-family real estate, adapting Italian design heritage to Miami’s coastal climate.<\/p>\n

The development remains on schedule to deliver completed homes to residents in 2027, positioning it as the only new residential tower expected to finalize construction in the Brickell neighborhood during that calendar year.<\/p>\n
