Both vehicles maintain spot exposure while allocating a portion of underlying holdings to native network validation, passing generated staking rewards back to fund investors.<\/p>\n<p>The inclusion of yield distribution represents a deliberate evolution in institutional digital asset packaging. In Proof-of-Stake consensus networks like Ethereum and Solana, validators lock native tokens to secure transaction blocks in exchange for protocol rewards. While earlier U.S. spot crypto products excluded staking mechanics due to SEC regulatory considerations and operational complexity, Wall Street issuers are increasingly structuring ETP wrappers to capture native network returns alongside spot price movement.<\/p>\n<p>The launches follow a rapidly expanding digital asset schedule for the firm. In April, Morgan Stanley launched its spot Bitcoin Trust, which accumulated over $381 million in assets under management by mid-July. According to Ally Wallace, Global Head of ETFs for Morgan Stanley Investment Management, the bank\u2019s broader exchange-traded platform has expanded to more than 22 products accounting for over $14 billion in assets since its establishment in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond fund products, Morgan Stanley\u2019s digital asset strategy spans both institutional and wealth management divisions. Earlier this year, Amy Oldenburg, head of digital-asset strategy, indicated that the firm\u2019s long-term plan extended beyond single-asset Bitcoin products. That effort encompasses research into tokenized money market funds and digital asset tax-management solutions operated through its subsidiary Parametric.<\/p>\n<p>The institutional fund launches also coincide with retail distribution expansion.
