Egypt Extends ‘Kolona Wahed’ Initiative: Deep Discounts Continue Through Winter
Ministry of Interior expands nationwide program, offering up to 40% off essentials and winter wear.

The Ministry of Interior extended Phase 27 of its “Kolona Wahed” initiative for an additional month, starting December 1, 2025. This program aims to supply Egyptian families with essential food and non-food items at high quality and reduced prices. The extension follows directives from the political leadership, seeking to bolster social protection measures for citizens under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
40% Price Reductions
Discounts on family necessities, covering both food and non-food items, reach up to 40%. The Ministry coordinates these efforts with various sectors and security directorates across all governorates. Citizens can find participating outlets and marquees listed on the official Ministry of Interior website: moi.gov.eg.
As winter approaches, the initiative has expanded its scope. Major factories and commercial entities have coordinated to provide winter clothing and other seasonal necessities. These new offerings are now part of the ongoing “Kolona Wahed” program.
The initiative significantly increased its network of participating businesses. It now includes 65 commercial chains, 14 main and sub-marquees, and 5 mobile convoys. This expansion incorporated major commercial markets, along with suppliers of meat, vegetables, and fruits, as well as wholesale and retail traders. In total, 2,769 outlets across various governorates are now part of the program, coordinated with the General Administration of Supply and Internal Trade Police.
The Ministry continues to offer all food and non-food items at reduced prices through 1,150 fixed and mobile outlets. These outlets operate in main squares, streets, and via “Aman” system vehicle convoys, which are affiliated with the Ministry. Further details on these locations are available on the official Ministry of Interior website.
These efforts are part of the Ministry of Interior’s ongoing commitment to ease financial burdens on citizens. The initiative reflects the Ministry’s social responsibility, aiming to contribute to comprehensive humanitarian and social care for the public.
